Alien Math
A foundry for small, checkable results, and a proving ground for big claims. The Foundry only keeps a number if it comes with a certificate a stranger can re-run. The Proving Ground takes ideas that sound impossible, finds the strongest version of each one, and attacks it with a test whose answer is written down first.

57 vertices, and not one more
A000789(13) = 57: the largest triangle-free circulant graph with no 13 independent vertices. The full search re-runs in your browser in about 30 seconds. Kuznetsov (2015) and Coniglio et al. (2026) got there first.

House rules for a result
- Predictions first. Pass and fail lines are written before the run. Where that didn't happen strictly, the page says so.
- Misses stay on the page. A missed prediction is recorded with its reason and never quietly edited.
- Prior art before headlines. Every page names the work that got there first. Most of what is here is a confirmation or a reproduction, and it is labelled that way.
- A check that can't fail is not a check. Every gate needs a case that should fail, and does. The Foundry's first wave-scattering gate couldn't fail, an audit caught it, and it was replaced.
- Words carry weight. "Verified" is kept for results a formal checker such as Lean has passed, and none of these have been through one. Results here are "checked" or "reproduced". Proving Ground verdicts are supports, undercuts or inconclusive, and each names the weak, medium or strong form of the claim it is about.
- Standing moves on our own runs. A paper can inform a card. Only a recorded run can move its verdict.

Erdős Check is the strict version of the Foundry's idea, with Lean-checked certificates. As Seen on TV tests claims from television with the same three-verdict honesty. The Observer Notebook has live Zeno and bomb-tester pages that pair with the Quantum Wizard room.
Coming next: the Proving Ground board (the full set of cards, each with its weak, medium and strong form), and real-hardware runs added to the quantum pages.
